You are not a Robot

"Did you know, that industrial robots need a huge base of support in order to repetitively move loads without breaking down; loads which are often no more than about 5kg!!

Now think about a human arm, its base of support is the scapula, but it’s not very well connected to it.  Most of the time, the arm is sitting way out in space, away from your body, loosely held in place by an array of ligaments and tendons, and of course, the loads lifted are often far in excess of the 5kg the steel and rubber robots are lifting.
Newsflash, you are not a robot!

No engineer is going to lubricate your joints, replace faulty seals, and weld up worn out bones…
It’s up to you to perform regular maintenance and to create the strongest base of support you can.
You should be trying to perform some kind of joint prep EVERY day before your workouts, and afterwards as well if you have time.

Address your tight bits, your weak bits, and any pre-existing injuries on a regular basis,  working hard to improve a little bit every day.
Lucky for you, we program joint love into our workout prep, and often as finishers, but if you have specific issues, it's a great idea to do a little extra before you jump into class.

If you have a niggle, ache or pain before or during the workout, ask the coach for a suitable substitution.  It’s actually quite normal to have issues from time to time, and so remind yourself that it’s just one day of adjusted workout!  Fix it now, and you’ll be back on top of it.  Don’t push through, no need to be a hero, especially a robot hero, because that’s what you’re trying to be if you don’t fix yourself then and there by making a more sensible decision."
